HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY HAIR&JEROME

Yes April 28th 2007 Hair&Jerome celebrated its 1st birthday with a select gathering of clients, press, photographers and the industry's finest. A superb night was had by all, with attractions such as the french wine (oh yes) and an artistic presentation by a close friend of the salon's and of course the canape's supplied by a close friend of Jerome himself.

I've chosen a few key photos that sums the night up perfectly. My very talented photographer Mr Joe Hunter was by my side taking those all important photos, and did a fantastic job, and was a hit with everyone. The evening was a success on every level - complete with fasionista's and full of character. Once again Happy 1st Birthday!

Pickle PR is going on holiday...

Don't worry - but do pencil in your diary that I will be in Los Angeles from May 18th until 21st. Just doing a bit of star spotting and seeing how salons over there run, and operate their public relations!

So make sure you pencil that in your diaries!

The Hair Factory that has been nominated a finalist in the Essex Countywide awards for 'Retailer of the Year' category has been reported on in the Hairdressers Journal International. We hope (fingers crossed) that the salon takes the trophy as it would be very well deserved.

Going greener?

Hairdressers Journal has just published in their NEWS section, about one of Pickle PR's clients, Toni&Guy Hemel Hempstead's campaign to go green. Thank you Hairdressers Journal!

Pickle PR is proud to announce....

I'm very happy to announce that Pickle PR will be looking after the east ends very own Hair&Jerome. Jerome Hillion, a previous British Hairdressing Awards Avant Garde Winner, has established his salon, in both the most unique design and setting. The salon is almost one year old, and no doubt will grow from strength to strength over the next few months.

and the beat goes on...

Identifying opportunities is a common theme in the public relations world. Can you identify them yourself? Perhaps so, then the cards roll over into achieving maximum output from that opportunity. This is where I usually fit into the equation. Recently at Toni&Guy Hemel Hempstead, the salon had a photo shoot that entailed the use of a new vintage (if its possible) clothes shop in Hemel Hempstead and a brilliant photographic location, Berkhamstead. This has achieved maximum publicity by the salon doing the hair for the shoot, but having all the clothes, make up and shoot for free (YES) and also scoring a Hertfordshire lifestyle magazine cover photo for the second time! Remember a magazine lifespan is significantlly longer than that of a paper!

BRITISH HAIRDRESSING BUSINESS AWARDS

Anyone thought their salon deserves recognition for its achievements? Then my thought of today is, log on to the British Hairdressing Business Awards web site, and download the details. With so many categories, I'm sure there is a place for everyone. Hairdressers Journal also cover these awards just like the British Hairdressing Awards (by the way if your entering, let me know - and good luck!).

Lots of potential advantages to having one of these awards sitting proudly in your salon, so any questions just send me an email and I'll help with any details as much as I can. You never know it might bring you in lots more revenue too - whos to know.

On the road again

Dear Colleagues,

Tuesday was one of my first days on the road. An enlightening experience to visit clients and understand their needs and specific wants for their businesses. Naturally I like to update this blog with successes that have been achieved from all clients, so I should kick of with my first piece of news, which is THE HAIR FACTORY, Colchester has been published as part of a special insert into all Newsquest newspapers in Essex, called ' Meet the Finalists'. This has been an added benefit of having been chosen as a finalist in the countywide Essex Business Awards! This was published on April 10th 2007. If your in Essex pick up a copy!

Secondly, Toni&Guy Hemel Hempstead also had an article that involved various quotes from its stylists regarding Curly hair, and I just happen to have this on pdf file and of course you may have a read.

PICKLE PR HAS LAUNCHED

Thank you to everyone that has supported the creatiion of PICKLE PR. There is some exciting news straight off. Toni&Guy Hemel Hempstead has been featured in a 'Curly or Not' Hair feature in Hertfordshire Lifestyle Magazine. The article itself, included all stylsts giving their ideas and thoughts, as well as detailing the correct products needed to achieve the look! On top of that The Gazette, from Hemel Hempstead has featured the 'Going Greener' campaign with hugely successful interest in the campaign. The salon wants to do its bit for the environment in an on going plan.

Secondly, The Hair Factory, Colchester, Essex, has had some great new being nominated 'Retailer of the Year' in the Essex Countywide Awards. Roll on May 11th 07 to see if they take the trophy! Also in their local paper, Dean Lyness has been photographed and featured due to his success at being involved in the Schwarzkopf Young Artistic Team. So all round quite good news to set the launch of Pickle PR off with a BANG.
